| On Wednesday Brian and I went to see the Lion King together. :) It was
a really good show and the stampede scene was really cool. The costumes
were very interesting choices and fun to look over every so often. The
Timon costume was really cool because the guy controlling the puppet
part of the costume is camoflouged completely in green - so every so
often you can't see him anymore and just see the Timon puppet with
something green over part of his tail. I had a lot of fun =P And it was
the best birthday present ever. (And Brian'll never know if he doesn't
read this)
I
caught a cold but luckily it didn't strike until after the play. So
I've been drinking lots of water and taking medicine since then. Hannah
thinks she spread it to me and Molly told me she's also sick (but in
the form of a stomach virus instead). M'eh.
I'm in a relatively
good mood even though I have a Physics test today. I got my German
test, chapter 10, back today. ;D 102%! The only thing I did wrong was
write "Wenn" where I should have written "Als" (Which I did and then
erased it! Otherwise I could have had all 103%! ;) 3% from extra
credit, hehe). I'm pretty nervous about tonight's test in Physics and
don't particularly want to take it. We'll see how it goes.
This
weekend should be pretty fun. After the test we're going to see the
movie in the Student Union and after that to Brian's to HOPEFULLY watch
Army of Darkness. And it seems Brian and I are going to be cooking this Sunday. SO.... wish me luck on not ruining the dish! =) | | |
| Well, it's been a while since I've updated this thing; probably due to
the fact that I've barely been in my dorm or on my laptop this weekend!
On Friday I hung out with Brian pretty much the whole day... of course
except for, y'know, my German class! The only class I actually went to
Friday! That language has me whipped. Andy came with us to Mighty Taco
and the fish store. We ended up getting a new Angel at the first place
(replacement for the one that died the day before) and two Long-Fin
Leopard Danios from the second place. :) So we're up to 7 fish. 1 Algea
Eater, 2 Fancy Guppies, 2 Long-Fin Leopard Danios, & 2 Angelfish.
So
Brian and I played a little Sacred with his brother Rob later at night
and then all the guys ended up watching Stargate... I stayed up for two
of the four episodes and then ended up falling asleep on the couch!
Hey, we watched Secret Window, too! (Me & Brian - and to be honest I'm not too sure at what time that was!)
Saturday
we spent the entire day together and I ended up going to his friend
Erik's house later at night. Wow, too many new faces all at once. I was
so silent - I swear all his friends are going to think I'm constantly a
mute! Ehh, I think next time around 2-3 of them around at once wouldn't
be as bad a silence from me. I think, of the new people, I only really
spoke to Brian's friend Dan, and only a little. He looks a lot like
Mike Br. from Midwood. Luckily my silence didn't have to last too long
and Brian and I decided to watch a few cheesy horror movies. I asked
him if he thought his brother or sister, Lyndsey(spelling?) wanted to
join us - so Lyndsey and her friend Kelsey(spelling? WOW I'm bad with
girl names!) ended up joining us. We watched Asylum of the Damned and A Crack in the Floor.
Asylum of the Damned was quite a funny cheesy movie but A Crack in the
Floor not only had no plot... but had the absolute WORST rape scene
ever. (Or was it the worst? Hold on) Earlier on, I think before we went
to Erik's house, Brian and I picked up candy (for his family) and
Wegman's carbonated beverages.
Sunday we watched two movies after eating at another "Greek" restaurant for breakfast. Sanitarium followed by Evil Dead.
Rob made us watch Evil Dead; even though he found out the movie he
really wanted was Evil Dead II. OK, now here's where the WORST rape
scene ever comes up. The single girl in the movie runs out of the cabin
freaked out about the demonic incantations from the recording and the
sounds of something moving in the woods. She runs and runs and then
stops, looks around, and is surrounded by VINES that start ripping some
of her clothing. She gets tied down and the damned vines are freakin'
molesting her - and I can swear the one VINE that "plunged" penetrated
her. She screamed and tore all the vines off of her and ran back to the
cabin... OK... the woods raped her. It was disturbing. I don't know if
Mr.2-Pump Chump and 4-Pump Chump w/ clothes on raping a woman in a
dress was worse, or the vines. Yeah...
So I had Easter Dinner at
Brian's and the food was really good. I think his mother was shocked
(not in a good way) when she found out I don't cook (I'm sure I could
cook but my mother never let me buy the ingredients I needed for
recipes I wanted to try =\). In fact, next week Brian and I get to cook
for his family. Er, his parents were supposed to be gone so we were
going to try cooking this certain German dish - but it seems they'll be
around and we're still cooking it. Saying I'm nervous is basically an
understatement. Anyway, after dinner we ended up watching another
movie... Fargo. It was pretty bad. =P And the first non-Horror/Thriller during the weekend.
So
then it was off to the dorm where we went to sleep. And now it is time
to figure out how to do physics homework, chemistry homework and
chemistry lab... Help me! | | |
